THE USE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES IN PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF THE FUTURE TEACHERS OF THE ESSENTIALS OF HEALTH PROTECTION

 

The ways of educational process organization increasing oriented on preserving and strengthening of schoolchildren’s health are considered in the article. Computerization educational sphere, ensuring continuity and availability of education and information technology are the tools to improve the quality of education and facilities enhancing the competence of future teachers the basics of health, as they allow unlimited expansion of access to information, facilitate new technology. Requirements analysis and developed structure information skills of future teachers in the basics of health information education. Social conditions of the process of forming a certain professional competence of future teachers of the essentials of health protection are being substantiated. Specialty «Human Health» is a new area in the education program, so the theoretical essentials of information technology in the training of the teachers-to-be are important and necessary.

У статті розглядаються проблеми підвищення організації освітнього процесу і професійної підготовки майбутніх учителів основ здоров’я засобами інформаційних технологій. Інформатизація освітянської галузі, забезпечення неперервності та доступності освіти й інформаційні технології виступають інструментом  поліпшення якості освіти  й засобами підвищення рівня  компетентності майбутнього вчителя основ здоров’я, оскільки дозволяють необмежено розширити доступ до інформації, урізноманітнюють технології. Проаналізовано вимоги та розроблено структуру інформаційних вмінь майбутніх учителів основ здоров’я в умовах інформатизації освіти. Спеціальність «Здоров’я людини» є новою галуззю в освітній  програмі, тому теоретичне обґрунтування особливостей використання інформаційних технологій у професійній підготовці майбутніх учителів основ здоров’я є важливим та необхідним.

В статье рассматриваются проблемы повышения организации образовательного процессу и профессиональной подготовки будущих учителей основ здоровья. Информатизация сферы образования, обеспечение непрерывности и доступности образования и информационные технологии выступают инструментом улучшения качества образования и средствами повышения уровня компетентности будущего учителя основ здоровья, поскольку позволяют неограниченно расширить доступ к информации, разнообразят технологии. Проанализированы требования и разработана структура информационных умений будущих учителей основ здоровья в условиях информатизации образования. Специальность «Здоровье человека» является новой областью в образовательной программе, поэтому теоретическое обоснование особенностей использования информационных технологий в профессиональной подготовке будущих учителей основ здоровья является важным и необходимым.

Stating the problem. It is beyond any doubt that the formation of a healthy way of life among the pupils and students remains one of the strategic directions of the Ukrainian society development. Quite a new subject “The essentials of health protection” integrates knowledge of valeolohiya (valeology) as well as vital activities security and has for its purpose to teach pupils to live a healthy way of life on the basis of vital habits. On the one hand, the teacher of the essentials of health protection is a carrier of the basic knowledge dealing with health, a healthy way of life but, on the other hand, he remains the subject of the educational-educative process aimed at the safeguarding of pupils’ health. Modern life requires from the future teachers of essentials of health protection more and more integrated psychological-pedagogical alongside with medical and biological knowledge for the tangible organization of curative and enlightening activity.

 The introduction of innovative technologies means, first of all, the increasing of educational and educative efficiency of studies and as a result of it the further and more tangible increase of the realization level of the principles of consciousness, activity and quality of knowledge, skills and habits obtained and developed by the teachers of the essentials of health protection during their studies at the higher educational establishment. The consideration of the problem of health as the task of prior significance in social development stipulates actuality of pedagogical treatment of this problem, determining the necessity of carrying out the appropriate scientific research and elaborating tactical and organizational methods concerning the professional training of the future teachers of essentials of health protection which will conduce to the safeguarding of pupils’ health. The use of information technologies during training of the future teachers of essentials of health protection in the context of professional training turns out for us to be quite sufficient and necessary motive for scientific research.

The analysis of the latest investigations and published works. Making ready the future essentials of health protection for the use of information technologies (IT) in the process of professional activity makes a system which is at the same time part and parcel of the entire system of pedagogical education of a final-year student of the higher pedagogical educational establishment. On the one hand, such preparation is based upon the achievements of the Ukrainian educational strategy, innovative right methods of approach towards its restructuring and reforming with the preservation of the country’s traditions and, on the other hand, it takes into consideration quite novel policy of Ukraine in the sphere of education, directed at  the integration into the world’s extension and area, forms the foundations for self-development and self-improvement of the teachers-to-be in using IT. The analysis of scientific methodical sources has proved that the problem of professional training of the teacher-to-be used to be and is nowadays extremely actual and new and novel aspects of the training of the teachers-to-be for their teaching practice at a secondary school are being revealed in the researchers’ works. The research papers dealing with human health protection, complex of ideas and scientific statements specified by a health-providing paradigm, by a conception of a healthy way of life, the works concerning the problem of general pedagogical training teachers at the higher educational establishments have found the reflection in the works of such scientists as M.Amosov, H. Opanasenko, E. Vayner, V.Horashchuk, S. Omel’chenko, N. Slobodyanyk, L. Sushchenko and others.

The works of the above mentioned authors have contributed to the experience accumulation and systematizing together with the increasing of quality of the educational process. It should be mentioned, however, that up to now the problem of professional training of the future teachers of essentials of health protection has not been paid much and adequate attention to in authoritative and reliable scientific works.

The wording of the aims of the article. The society at the present stage of its development is characterized by a further increase of the role of information and communication in all spheres of human life activity. Coming into being of quite new means of communication has considerably expanded and simplified the process of communication between people irrespective of their age, nationality, place of living, cultural and world outlook peculiarities. Therefore one of the main tasks of any educator in the conditions of information society is the use of contemporary means of information technologies. In information society in proportion with the emission of IT, in particular, the capacity of global computer network Internet, coming into existence of virtual reality, impetuous and rapid development of the artificial intellect technologies there emerges the sore need  of using the innovative means which to a full extent can perform the function of an assistant and a mediator  in reaching educational goals  and among them those connected with establishing of certain relations and accomplishing pedagogical communication [1]. Information technologies in the process of training the future teachers of essentials of health protection may be used as: means of teaching, means of perfecting thethe process of teaching; an instrument of environment perception; self-cognition, means of personality development; information-methodical supply of materials and an educational-educative process management; means of communication; means of automation of the control processes and correction of educational activities results, testing and psycho diagnostics; means of intellectual leisure organization.

At present the society understands that mastering IT is one of the basic elements of modern education. The implementation of up-to-date information technologies provides the further improvement of educational-educative process, accessibility and efficacy of education, the preparing of the younger generation to vital activities in information society promotes the solution of the problem concerning their qualitative influence upon the content, methods and organizational forms of learning and teaching which, in their own turn, create the conditions for the process of renewal in the field of training the future teachers of essentials of health protection [5]. The formed in the society urgencies concerning professional demands towards the teacher capable to organize health-safeguarding education have caused an appropriate social order to the system of professional pedagogical education.

The circumstances which are being formed nowadays at a given stage of the Ukrainian society development and information education give us substantial reasons to formulate the following demands towards the future teachers of the essentials of health protection:

-   the teacher of the essentials of health protection must possess and master the essential knowledge about IT (peculiarities of its function);

-   the teacher of the essentials of health protection must possess and master the knowledge dealing with the technical and instructional means of IT in his/her professional activity, in particular while instructing the pupils the essentials of a healthy way of life;

-   the teacher of the essentials of health protection must know how to use the means of IT in the process of educational procedure of valeological direction organization;

-   the teacher of the essentials of health protection must know how to form the pupils knowhow to use the means of IT necessary for the effective learning of essentials of a healthy way of life. With this purpose the teacher of the essentials of health protection must possess the due level of information competence which envisages, according to educational tasks,  rather an adequate and systemic use of It in the teaching process, the use of the available electronic educational-methodical complex as well as the development  of one’s own instructional resources dealing with the essentials of health protection;

-   the teacher of the essentials of health protection must know how to use IT for accomplishment of scientific activity, heightening of one’s own pedagogical skill, the further development of health safeguarding technologies having to do with the realization of  the principle of continuing professional education.

At the contemporary stage of society development the information acquires the features of a strategic product. That is why nowadays there is not any doubt in the fact that the paradigm of pedagogical science itself is gradually changing in the condition of constant influence of informativeness of education and the structure and content of education is constantly being corrected. Taking into consideration the above mentioned statements and while analyzing the literary sources [2; 4] we do consider   that the teacher-to-be must possess a certain succession of information skills (Drawing 1).

The formation of skills dealing with the use of IT in professional activities is rather a durable process which emerges a significant component of the professional pedagogical training of the future teachers of essentials of health protection.  This process takes place under the influence of purposeful activity, personal energetic activity of a specialist-to-be and some specific conditions. Therefore the teacher of the essentials of health protection must master the methods of analysis and selection of the necessary and effective educational information for its further use by pupils.

The teacher of the essentials of health protection must be able to comprehend  the level of his/her own professional activity, one’s own special, methodical and communicative abilities, potential, the capacity to notice the drawbacks in his/her work, to have the desire for self-perfection. He/she must know how to use rational ways of scientific research, analysis, adequate selection, to take into consideration the didactic principles, regularities, means, forms of the educational process organization.

Using of scientific, extracurricular sources, self-training, the development of some habits of self-criticism, self-control, mastering of speech habits also belong to the skills of the teacher of the essentials of health protection. The professionalism of the teacher who reached the high level of understanding of social problems is based upon the knowledge, norms and values, abilities acquired thanks to incessant self-determination, self-perfection and self-realization.

 The effective training of the future teachers of the essentials of health protection is provided by the realization of the principles of systematic work, scientism, integration quality, extension of functions of information technologies in professional activities of the teacher of the essentials of health protection, complication of his/her professional functions and as a result of it the specialists form professional competence, they develop their creative potential, creativity, readiness to use IT in their professional activities. Thus, the contradictions between: the content of general education, on the one hand, and the changing of needs of brunches of economy in social sphere in the development of science-containing and information technologies, on the other hand; the level of general and professional education and the opportunity of job placement of young people in the society with the developing market structure; a free choice of the education forms and safeguarding of state guarantees of accessibility and equal opportunities of getting the full value education are becoming more evident in new social and economic conditions characterized by unstable development of the country and coming into being quite new orientation points and landmarks  among the young people [6, p.8].

Summing up. In contemporary conditions of the society development the informativeness of professional and pedagogical training of the future teacher of the essentials of health protection has to provide the sufficient level of his/her information culture; to increase the efficacy of educational-educative process on the basis of introducing new information technologies of education; to perfect the management of the future specialists training. Only the information-competent teacher who has acquired the thorough and substantial training dealing with the use of IT in the future professional activities while studying at the higher educational establishment can realize these tasks.
